Possible exit watch
For me this is my exit watch. I never thought such a piece existed. A myth. The idea that one watch could satisfy every bit of WIS blessed blood in one’s body was pure nonsense. Then this piece came along. I am completely and utterly blown away by this piece of machinery. I have never been this over the moon for a watch. Love it
The leaf hands do make a difference.
Is that common that different metals of the same PP watch model can have different hands, or is the above an after market change?
The rose gold that I posted is the standard reference...
...I don't believe the G model has leaf hands.

Talking from my experience with my 5170R it is an insanely good watch. Size, wearablility, dial layout, movement and finish there are almost none watches for me that can beat this. The handwinding of the crown is so smooth. Wonderful.
I tried on a pre-owned one years ago and should have bought it...
...one of the most comfortable watches I've ever put on. It disappeared on my wrist. And I love leaf hands : ) If it was yellow gold it would have been mine!

I can well understand your feelings as I do love mine.
It’s good that you say “possible” as it is doubtful any watch could be the exit one for a watch lover/collector.
Anyway you will love and enjoy this marvelous chronograph so much for sure.
Mine is the black dial version. I was hunting for the white dial version you own but considering the place I live and the circumstances in which I closed the deal I had no option and I don’t regret it.
The Watch is beautiful and it’s movement so nicely finished and works… as a Patek should!

Do you know approximately how many were made with pulsation dial of the 5170G?
All variants of the 5170 are superb 👍🏼
But my favorite 5170 is the first one in the good old yellow gold! While I love the clean dial without tachymeter scale of my 5270G-001, I like the pulsometer scale on the 5170J-001 😀 And obviously I have a weakness for the very first variants of the PP references 😉
When I first started to get interested in watches, I preferred the G Breguet index on the dial of this original 5170. However, now I understand the merits of this bar index.
