5212A - Week 53 magic - love how the red marker aligns perfectly with the hour markers
I've had this reference for a few months now, and my feelings about it have evolved quite a bit. Initially, I was hesitant. The case, perhaps due to its slim profile, felt somewhat fragile, and the dial seemed to lack depth in certain light conditions. However, it has grown on me. The creamy white dial, adorned with charming handwritten characters and the pops of red work quite well with the subtle polish of the case & hour markers. (I am very curious to discover how this dial is actually produced)

I've experimented with countless straps and probably gone overboard with this. But I'm beginning to think that the original brown calfskin strap might be the best option after all.

Not really - perhaps on the odd occasion to a) remind myself of how much of the year is left spatially b) if you want to count the no of weeks ahead to a deadline or a holiday

I'm wondering about setting the watch -- how difficult is it when left unwound for a long period of time?
There are separate pushers for the day of the week and week of the year.
Other than that it’s just the hour and the date like any other watch. Of course it’s not as easy as setting a three hander for just the time and go about your business but not that hard either.
You have to wait till 2026 for enjoy the 53th week… last year (and this one) we’ve only 52 weeks. A very interesting proposal from PP!
