But these 2 that you've posted do resemble each other to a larger degree, not just the date, but also the rail-like circle inside the dial and the arabic numerals. Hmmm.... thought provoking.... they probably come from certain vintage design back in the old days.
Now that you mentioned the similarities... may I post what I think are even more similar between a PP and an FM...

There are really a number of near-identical "coincidences" out there!
I'm not pointing the finger at any manufacture, because some of these designs might be derived from very classic vintage models that I have never seen or heard of. Say for example, the PP and FM that i posted are both called "Chronometro"... surely that can't be a copyright breach as obvious as that so I'm thinking it might be a common design from a certain era.
But your Martin Braun vs PP are really intriguing too!
