Dear Forum,
I was recently lucky enough to find and purchase a well priced and recently serviced 2573 with the much admired caliber 23-300. While I've seen the appeal of the movement's layout and design, I wanted to check in to see if anyone could comment on the overall performance compared to more contemporary designs such as the 215. I've seen the 23-300 mentioned as a high mark in Patek's 10''' handwinds but have not found a comprehensive review or deconstruction. Does any one have specific info (such as movement thickness) or general thoughts relating to it's reliability, strength, and performance? I'm planning on wearing the 2573 primarily as a dress watch but would like to know if you think it could survive daily (careful) wear and tear. Comments and pics appreciated.

If properly serviced I don't see any reason why it could not support a normal life of a dress watch!

The question is quite interesting Dje
because I have one vintage watch with this calibre in Spa and another in consideration.

Great movement, much bigger and stronger than the 215.
But of course for a watch this old, rain, sweat, humidity (depends on where you live) and even washing your hands, be careful.

Thanks, everyone, for the great responses. Of course, I live in Houston, one of the most hot, humid, and damp places on earth. That said, I will do my best to protect the 23-300 from the elements (even though I have had a hard time taking it off and have been wearing it daily).
