5070G is so modern and classic at the same time. Its design is just perfect: I love it too.
Wear it in good health Nicolas.

Mike

...to show us such a beautiful watch.
That makes me think of the one I have tried quite some time ago (about 10 years) also in WG version (it was of course in the PP catalogue at that time).
The 5070 was not yet much sought after by collectors and I hesitated because of its oversize (I have chicken wrists and a 42mm diameter watch was not usual then, especially for me).
I had forgotten it and then came the 5070 P version presented in Basel in 2008. I fell in love with it but it wasn't simply the right time for me to "invest" in a new watch in spite of the (relatively) reasonable price (the Pt version was launched in 2008 at the price you now pay for the WG version). I was lucky enough to see it in real and believe me even the PP press file pictures don't do it justice. This blue-metallic sunburst dial with applied numerals is simply amazing. ARRRRGH why didn't I manage a solution so as to buy one? But it now costs... almost double in only 4 years!
I am weak, I am PP watchoholic, but still! I am afraid this dream will never come true.
But because this model is now in my mind (again), I surprise myself to be more and more attracted by this WG version also.
You're quite lucky to have one and you know it for sure. You will have to show it to me in real one day...
In the mean time, enjoy it (you are definitely right, it must not stay lying in the safe) and wear it in good health!
Best,
Mike
In love with this watch since 2004. I wanted tro get one, but I didn't have the money to do so because of some other watch purchases.
Then, when it was financially the right time for me, it was not available anymore, except if you go for one from the Grey Market.
Then came the 5070P. I was one of the first to have my name on the list, but was never called.
So, the hunt for a WG one was the program of the year, and I did get mine 2 years ago.
I do hope that you will get yours, one day.
It is more than a nice watch, it is a cool watch.
Best Mike.

........... & I am in a dilemma!
Been searching high & low for this particular nice chrono time piece for few years now ............ in Malaysia
............... without any success. Enquired about online purchases from the States, but, all grey dealers refused to ship it to this notorious land.
Not keen to fly there to get it, coz of the journey & extra % Sales Tax involved. Local forum in this notorious land aint cater for this type of lovely time piece either ........... its mainly cater for Rolex, PAM, & other not so desirable pieces.
5170G is avail at PP AD locally, but, dont like the case & movement.
What can I do? ............. Already owned 5056P, 5130R & 5171/1A, but, still longing for this! Maybe only Thierry can help to chip in by restarting its production, & allocate a little bit more of its quota here, please? ............. dream on!
Btw, niece piece you have there!
