VC factory tour by youtuber @robtheamerican
I found his recent factory tour of VC to be highly fascinating. The level of access he was given seems extraordinary (or perhaps it wasn’t the level of access so much, but what he was permitted to film and/or upload online). I was intrigued by the draw full of vintage VC dials - including a load of rare black dials, ancient guilloche machine, and videos from within VC’s archives. I’ve posted a couple of screen grabs here.

While visiting Laurent Ferrier in Plan-les-Ouates last February, I took a few photos of the VC headquarters, but I wasn't invited inside, of course!

Beautiful building outside - incredible visit inside
I was invited to visit at the end of 2024 and it was an incredible experience: I got to see our time machines being manufactured and speak freely with the watchmakers. It was great to walk through all the departments including the metiers d’art on the top floor – a dream come true.
I took lots of pictures during the visit and the whole experience was surreal because all the employees we met were so open and transparent and happily speaking about they were doing. Not a staged visit but rather a peek being the curtains to get to know the “Vacheron family”.
I took quite a few pictures myself but I’m not sure what I can post here as I wouldn’t want to “hurt” VC (the only place where they explicitly asked to not take pictures was the enamel workshop where they were working on one-off pieces and wanted to keep secret the designs for their rightful owners).

Our first time to the Manufacture remains so vivid, I'm getting misty-eyed thinking about the gang!
Here just hoping not to break another pivot...
And finally we get our hands on the goodies. IIRC the Traditionelle World Time was the latest novelty.
