I have mixed feelings about the Laurent Ferrier Minute Repeater ref. LCF.030 (which is very rarely talked about).
I love the architecture and level of finishing of caliber LF707.01 as well as the overall "less is more" aesthetic.
But I'm not in love with the two-tone dial, nor with the "REPETITION MINUTE" ghostly engraved above the small seconds subdial.
Also, I prefer the Classic case to the Montre Ecole one. And even if I understand that steel is a good metal for the sound, I would still prefer white gold (or platinum, even if this metal is said to be far from ideal for minute repeaters).
So, however great this one is, my true dream watch from Laurent Ferrier remains the Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral with a clous de Paris dial.

Between those two LF pieces I also prefer the tourbillon.
I especially like tourbillon watches that do not have a dial cutout.

Personally, I dislike officer-style lugs so this minute repeater is not a favorite of mine for that reason.
However, you mention the Tourbillon with the clous de Paris and I have seen a similar one in person and absolutely loved it. I thought the one I saw was white gold with a black dial, but looking at the flyer I received it states it was stainless steel. I didn’t try it on as I didn’t want to invite any temptations…
Yes, “complaining” would be a bit too much, I agree.
If I was offered this MR, I would certainly not turn it down. I still have a preference, though.
I totally agree in your grievances. As a grail; a RM has to be perfect on all the points.Your hear it's a RM, you don't need to read it....

I might like it too in real life: my feeling is only photo-based and I know it isn't reliable.
I wouldn't say that the case is Lange-esque, because it has officer lugs and because the case flank is rounded.

Interesting thoughts
Personally I love the fact that they are using steel and applaud it. Love the dial and case also.
I'm glad that you think and feel differently.
My own judgement is photo-based only and I know I might feel very differently in real life.

Of the things you have reservations about,
totally agree with the ghost engraving.
The fact that it's steel is doesn't really
bother me, especially if the sound is
better. A trade off. I have a friend who sees
these engineering marvels as needing a
steel case but that's another discussion.
The movement is gorgeous. Re the sub
dial, in the first picture the contrast is not
as pronounced as in the second and third.
If those are closer to what you see in real
life, I find it ok. The first picture, no. Is
it my imagination or is the subdial more
recessed than we usually see? Like it.
How it looks in real life, I unfortunately don't know.
And concerning the subdial, yes, it seems to be more recessed than usual (but that's on photos only, so...).

Not my cup of tea. The small second subdial is too small, the wording, too bad because the sound looks rich.

There is a lot to love about LF and this reference, except…the too thin hands for me. I find it hurts legibility too much

Yes it’s ghosted thankfully.
As for the subdial, I would have to see it in real life.
In 2020 I collected an LF Origin Opaline from an AD near Silicon Valley
and he mentioned that of the 5 minute repeaters that had been produced at that time in the world, he had personally sold 4 of them to the venture capital crowd in the SF Bay area. I had no reason to doubt his claim!
