It has been a wait of two years but when the watch arrived this week, it was totally worth it.

The Primevere (primrose in French) is the first model launched by Japan-born independent watchmaker Yosuke Sekiguchi, who decided to model his watch against 19th century (1871) Jules Jurgensen pocket watches.
It is a substantial timepiece, entirely hand-made, providing an elegant feel with exquisite finishing. The bridges are German silver with a fine circular brushed graining. The winding wheels are frosted but have mirror polished chamfers on their teeth.
The glossy enamel dial features elegantly designed (tall and thin) Roman numerals and a railway minute track. I understand this is produced by Donze Cadrans, one of Switzerland's renowned enamel dial makers. The soldered lugs are gently curved and are linked to a subtly concave bezel. The subsidiary seconds are punctuated by dots denoting five-second intervals.
Here are pictures of the box and the certificate of origin.
And some photos of parts taken from the brand's official web site:
My apologies for the hastily taken smart phone pictures. I promise to take some nicer ones in due course...
