Such clarity of layout; on par with the very best dial layouts of any contemporary makers including the independents, in my honest opinion.
Well, the A Chronographe certainly is my favorite Duometre, being the first of the family, and a totally new movement. Now there is one dial which is driving me crazy, the enamel of the QL. [nt]

Love this watch, but
This is one of my favorite watches and price wise it’s a steal, especially in the secondary market. The reason I haven’t bought one was my fear that servicing it will become increasingly difficult and costly as watchmakers and repairmen continue to dwindle.
It may not be well founded, but that’s My fear for complications.
Certainly not an issue in our lifetimes
But I expect my collection to be the foundation of my grandkids collections.

It's hard to think how so many have looked past this watch
It's simply extraordinary. Easy to read, delightfully complicated and completely original. As you say, even the finishing is possibly nicer than anything else JLC releases. I think many of us 20 years from now and wonder, "how did we miss this one when we had the chance?".

That's the point, Brandon. Jaeger Lecoultre just made an icon. I think people under estimate the power and the interest of the Duometre à Chronographe. A watch to own! [nt]

Lovely Watch
Duometre is my favourite JLC line hands down.
I have the same watch. Mine is coming to 8 years ( I think ) and has never been serviced before. I am thinking of sending it in for service. But there's nothing wrong with the watch, except some hairline scratches on the case and it's keeping perfect time. Do you think I should send in for service? I am also concerned that they will "wash" the movement as part of the servicing process and get rid of the patina. Curious to know your thoughts as a fellow owner.

Well, it’s not like JLC have not had the time. ;)
It’s been a while since we have seen a new Duometre.
Just dropped my Duometre off for service...
... and they did warn me unprompted that the patina would get removed with the cleaning process but would return on its own with time. I suppose the cleaning chemicals could remove the patina but not sure that makes sense...
