Just seen this looks like there's going to be new Master Control date in 36mm

Looks good - has a solid caseback with master control on back. Also on ostrich strap - which feels period correct!
Only niggle on my part is that medallion on back not gold & limited to 500.

At this point anything under $10k is a win, I actually think the price is okay given where the market is today? It's speedmaster money 🙄

Is there any way JLC could do better over the next ten years than by just rereleasing, in order, the exact watches they released from the mid-90s to mid-2000s? I don't mean that those ten years were PERFECT, I mean: I think they might have been the best that JLC could possibly do.
My thoughts exactly.
With this model, they have gone full circle to what they produced 20+ years ago. With an upgraded movement and, sadly, a pricing that’s completely out of whack. And why they would make this a limited run is everyone’s guess.
I have to agree. Come on, we want a Extreme Lab 3 and many more daring and innovative watches!
Love it - some questions and one wish
Upfront, love it! It came around the time I started being interested in watches and I remembered having over the years some of these early MC: the complete calendar and the memovox (black serie).
My questions, thinking aloud: why limited if that is to be a new entry point into the world of JLC and why this price point? I sometimes (often?) believe that VC is suffering from aspirational pricing and now another sister company is doing the same? Not sure if I understand the peer benchmarking for that model?
Finally my wish: I used to have and regret letting go of the master memo is manual wind black dial - that would be a cool revival. Keeping my fingers crossed
I totally agree with your points. They should have not limited it, unless they are not too confident about this 36 mm version. And certainly not at this price!

No date would be nice , but I'm fairly relaxed about the one on this watch & it aligns with it's predecessor
I'm interested to see what else if anything follows on from this.
We've just seen the Tudor Ranger released a smaller size & the VC perpetual (?) , so here's hoping!

Size and ACTUALLY GO SMALLER RATHER THAN BIGGER. Bravo JLC! 👏🏻👏🏻 Only thing that makes this better for me is a see through case back
