I already posted several - many? - pics of the Geomatic in stainless steel, but I couldn't resist to the pleasure to share with you this one.

Why?

Look at the dial, its unaltered luminous dots and hands, its sunburst finish:



Another great detail, and even more spectacular is the condition of the case, whose lugs look untouched, unpolished.

Admire these bevelled lugs!







The case back and its superb medallion is not bad, either:



Like if you had a Time Machine, and that you just went out a JLD AD with this watch.

What a perfect sample. I love that sixties look. For me this is what a watch looks like cause my grandfathers en father had watches in that style (most Eterna). The thing that comes close these days is the GO Senator Sixties IMO. Great stuff!

Well, Nicolas, this Geomatic hit my "soft spot": simple 3 hand watches with a clear dial layout and date window at 3 o´clock, rather small diameter about 35-36 mm (compared with the current dimensions).

It reminded me of the vintage Omegas I´ve got -  the affordable version for poor doctors who do not aim at Geophysic or Geomatic .

never really been a huge fan of the Geo, not that I duslike it either..

 

but this one, it sizzles, I love that case design, C'est formidable
