I guess in the absence of immediate supply, you explore model lines outside the typical RO. I actually started for many years with ROOS, then got into RO Ladies for my wife and CODE 11.59 before entering into the RO realm. I'm quite pleased with the CODE as well as other lines - and it only expands my appreciation of AP. I'm pretty sure someday they will increase the model line (5516 or star wheel anyone?).
As with distribution - that does hurt to lose your status with your local distributor - but some part of me understands the rationale for AP. Part of it certainly is "cutting out the middleman" but I think more importantly they now have a global client database that must give them a better understanding of their client's needs than other marques. Shame it has to wipe the history of some loyal collectors but I understand that if you go to an AP house you can actually fill out your entire AP history in their systems with a representative. You might be surprised what you might find out

Cheers and good luck with your journey - hope you find a way back!!
