Hey Guys,
I just rejoined AP ownership after more than 10 years. I knew I wanted a Royal Oak but for a long time I struggled to decide which model. I considered a Jumbo, a Chronograph, a Dual time, and a Day-Date.
I was in NYC a few months ago and got to handle a 15400 and a new 15202 (with AP symbol at 6). I really loved the 15202 a lot but wanted to wait until I saw a 41.mm chrono. After much thought and constant reviewing of articles and photos, I knew my first instinct was correct and I placed an order for a 15202.
It just arrived at the end of last week and its amazing. The dial takes on different shades of blue depending on the lighting, and movement is beautiful, and the finish on the case and bracelet are truly impressive. I just have a few quick photos to share (sorry they are pretty bad), I have to take some better ones this weekend.
Best regards,
Dino
an excellent choice IMO. Nothing beats a classic and this new version is very very tempting for sure!
Congrats!

For a while I just wasn't sure if it made sense to spend this amount on a time only watch when the chronograph, dual time, and day-date were nearly the same price.
I still like some of those Royal Oaks with additional functions, but after spending a week with this watch I know the Jumbo was the right choice for adding an AP back into my small collection. Maybe I'll consider a RO with other functions as an addition at some point, but this Jumbo is a keeper! I hope to have some better photos of the watch soon.
Best regards,
Dino
Its a great watch to re-enter AP ownership with, and I will let everyone know my ownership impressions as time goes by. I've taken a few better photos and after I have some time to upload them I'll post them. I never truly understood the attraction to the Jumbo until I saw and took ownership of one...this one is a "Keeper."
Best regards,
Dino
TFS!
