I have been searching for a good condition Aqua Lung for a long time. Finally found a nice Grande Date and haven’t taken it off my wrist for 5 days. The rest of my collection is getting jealous.

There are many models but the Aqualung is one of my favorite.

Never understood the BP’s decision to stop the Leman line.

But one article says he gave it away to a shipyard worker. Perhaps he has more than one. Might explain the global shortage. Perhaps he is hoarding them!

It was an indelible "no longer president, now potentate" moment.

I always vacillate between preferring this version (symmetry, a little more room for everything in the dial) and the 38mm version (neat little case fits me really well). But the rest of your collection *should* get jealous, because this is exactly the kind of watch that one ends up wearing every day. A steel Aqualung would be a perfect only watch (for me at least!).

Not liking the old style single fold clasp though, which seems less comfortable and secure than JLC's version from the same era. So far, that is my only dislike, which I can easily change it necessary.
