Chopard LUC Perpetual Twin. Thoughts?
Anyone with hands on experience with this reference? It caught my eye and now I may be considering it! Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts or opinion about this watch. I was not looking for a PC but i am drawn by the casual/chic/sporty vibe of this dial which I could wear equally well at the office or on the weekend. Its a bit large at 42mm but that does not bother me...

What do you mean? Hard to set the date properly? Do you have any wrist shot if you still have it?
I think he means the labelling 'date month second'. It bothers me too... the rest is very nice

The movement is a bit small, but the rest is very cool. If only the unnecessary wording was not there.
Yeah clearly it seem to be a consensus on these wording. I personally did not pay that much attention to them, its the actual overall dial design I like here
The writing kills it for me...but the small movement would be the other reason it doesn't appeal to me...

Sure, the labels are prominent on the dial, but as the watch world is not ugly with printing words all over watches. Chopard is not a different.
If labels are too much, they have also something against printed days on the dial Sun Mon Teu, or J F M A M etc with months.
For some people the mark Swiss Made would to be busy on a dial.

That said, i have not any watch in my collection with too much wording, but on one of my watches Inca Block printed under the brand name.
But many here have a watch with the words superlative chronometer. Or more than 2, when their focus lay on Rolex. Have a nice weekend Chronometer.

I’m personally not very fond of this model because
the case is too big and bulky (at least for my wrist) and the caliber, which is a non-Geneva seal version of the 96, really looks too small in the 43mm case imo. If you want to see some nice wrist shots, check the account of @watch_lover85 on Instagram: this Korean guy has a large collection with multiple Chopard, including a blue dial LUC Quattro with a Geneva seal caliber (reviewed here on Monochrome) which you might want to consider as a potential alternative (NB: as it has been discontinued, it can only be found on the secondary market now). As you’ve understood I would personally pick the Quattro, because of the white gold case vs steel, the 8,84mm thickness vs 11,47mm, the Geneva seal caliber and 50 pieces limited edition, but the Perpetual twin is very nice too! And the wording pointed out by our fellow purists doesn’t bother me, as it isn’t purposeless, the letters and abbreviations for the months and days being a little hard to differentiate at short glance.
