I owned this watch for a while, but ultimately traded it away.
The Aquatimer Charles Darwin Edition was one in a series of bronze-cased watches I cycled through a few years ago, when I was fascinated by the material. The watch wore quite well for its great size (44 mm x 16-17 mm) and the flyback chrono operated nicely. However, the rubber coating on the chronograph pushers was not durable, and its deterioration was the eventual reason for my letting the watch go. Interestingly enough, I traded away the last of my bronze watches a while back, and have not yet been tempted to try another.
I have been tempted
by the BB 58 Bronze. But I wear bracelet watches during summer, so I didn't pull the trigger.

It did once. I had a bronze Meistersinger but it took 3 MS's before I realized I am too anal to have a single hand watch.

Have had a few -always fascinated by the aging patina -nothing in my current rotation currently -interesting about your Charles Darwin ( can you provide more details as to what happens to the rubber components)
The rubber fissures, then crumbles.
I can't remember if I had the factory replace the rubber once or not. I've had similar issues with some rubber straps, but those are more easily replaced.
Those of you wearing bronze must feel like captain Nemo!
I like bronze as a nautical material (bells, some ship accessories...) but not for my wrist.

I really loved my Bronze Aquatimer but…
The strap connection is a complete disaster. A mild bump on the strap causes it to release from the watch. I had this happen several times, but when it fell overboard because I bumped the side of my boat I decided to part ways with it.
I have recently acquired an Anonimo in bronze, and I’m confident its screwed tubes will hold the watch on my wrist more securely than the quick release IWC system.
