Culinary heaven in Paris
Made a reservation early for lunch at Guy Savoy, and it was amazing. As my time in Paris was short, dinner for 3-4hrs is not an option.

Looks better than my lunches in Paris in May...
I had two nice lunches at fancy restaurants. Ironically both were Alain Ducasse restaurants. It pains me to say; they were both so bad, that I didn't finish and I thought the food I had consumed was a waste of appetite.
Your meal looks much better than the ones I had!
I was planning on having a nice lunch at the hotel, but then the hotel's restaurant was only open for dinner, and I've eaten too much and gained a lot of weight, so I had to say no to a gluttonous dinner!
But that being said; I had a terrible food experience the last time I was in Paris! I've been to Paris a few times; and last May was definitely not inexpensive and very disappointing.

I have never eaten or been able to afford to dine at a Ducasse eatery but I always thought those michelin stars meant something 
It wasn't that my standards were high, it's just these restaurants were really quite bad.
At one of these Ducasse restaurants, I probably ordered the worse thing on the menu. At the first Ducasse establishment the food was just quite bad all the way through dessert. At the Ducasse establishment that was less expensive, all I can say is fish meuniere was always a iffy dish. Even if it may be that restaurant's specialty, I probably shouldn't have ordered it. So I thought I had made a mistake. But when the bombe suprise dessert came and was terrible as well, and the restaurant's specialty, I realized it was just all bad. Neither of these Ducasse establishments had any sort of Michelin star, which definitely would not have been correctly bestowed, if they had them.

You should try a Heston Blumenthal restaurant the next time you are in London! Sublime especially the steaks!!!

The last dinner I had in London was quite good! My host made a great choice! I definitely would listen to his advice!
Besides, dining at fine restaurants alone is kind of depressing.

I actually had one of my best meals ever on Saturday night surprisingly in Kuala Lumpur at a French restaurant which cost only £38 per head for a 3 course meal and it all made sense when I asked to speak to the French chef and discovered that he held 2 michelin stars in France. Amazing quality and presentation. Sorry for the crap photos but the ambience did not allow it.

Hmm, KL definitely seems to be a tasty place!
Indeed a very blissful dinner, and at the equivalent of 38 UK Pounds, affordable! Reasonable!
