Wearing all gray to match the weather, and the suitably subdued GS SLGH017 Night Birch.
I really appreciate the degree to which Grand Seiko has upped
their game on movement finishing in these Generation 9 pieces. I'm eager
to take a look at some of the hand-wound Spring Drive variants.

I agree on the movement finishing but find accuracy hasn’t likewise improved in the transition 😊🤷🏻♂️
I have to plead ignorance as to the comparative accuracy.
Interesting, though, in light of the initial hoopla over the new escapement.

The rainbow diffraction pattern on the applied indices is more conspicuous in the metal, and rather attractive, I find.

Its the same here in Eugene. Someone should create the Pacific Northwest dial...gray, flat, dull with no relief and an overwhelming sense of gloom. (ps: I love it here!)🤪

In the meantime, the Pacific Northwest dial needs some water sloshing around under the crystal...or maybe simulated moss around the periphery. Sounds like a job for Moser et Cie.
