The Jeweler. I’m on the upper west side and a new restaurant called Essential by Christoph opened. Has one Michelin star. Psyched to try it when my brother visits in May. Haven’t been to Cellini (restaurant) but will try it soon.
Then you might find Cellini a little pedestrian.
It's just traditional Italian-American. But good. We had a large GTG there about 6-7years ago.
I've eaten at Lasserre in Paris and Gray's Papaya on the upper west side.

I'm reminded of a very cute story from the sitcom Taxi. Tony,
who is an aspiring boxer gets a 5000 dollar signing bonus (if my
memory is correct). He says to the rest of the group, dinner's on
me - we'll have the best meal of our lives. Someone asks "where are
we going?" Tony says "Mario's". This is where they always went after
their shifts! Like where's the weather - outside or in your head? Looking
forward to a Double Cellini when my brother comes in May.
