And the funny fact is that in my case, one particular non-certified , non-adjusted ETA based dress watch (by a reputable brand) that I owned for the past 10 yrs is running at a steady less than +1s/day. Blowing all my new and old Poinçon de Genève , COSC /METAS , superlative certified big boys waaay out of the water.

Am I worried? Not really ;-) mechanical accuracy is strictly objective. But the love for timepiece is highly subjective. Is our heart that accurate? Not really.

Btw, if you really love accuracy, you can get a GPST based LED wall clock for less than $50, which receives timing broadcast directly from the satellite's atomic clock. The accuracy is <0.0000036 second per YEAR with signal interpretation loss taken into account and is self-compensated every time a new signal is received.
