You saved the best for last with the Dresden visit and basically summarized the culture and hospitality that so defines the brand in your review. Thanks for sharing such memorable moments with us. 
I can't agree more with you in choosing perhaps the G. Lange 1 as my fav. for the year together with the new Datograph. The QP tourby will be my pick if I win the lottery.
Personally, I couldn't have asked for a better year end gift than with the acquisition of the DS.

My experience was the same as yours. I owned a Pt Dato, but found it uncomfortable, let it go, and picked up the same watch that you have. I've never looked back.
