Looks like there is more material in the first gen, although it’s from photos and I might be wrong of course. Best option would be to weigh them and see.

I actually prefer the newer version as I find the colour more alive and appealing and I also prefer the font used on the dial also, but i suppose really there is no wrong answer only what each of us finds more appealing. Marc
