Pleased to report we didn’t find any mentioning of Cellini on the paper work and caseback. The paper work states “232.039 1815 UP/DOWN” as the model reference, and on the case back “LIMITED 40 PCS” has been inscribed.
And sometimes new old stock too. The AD called this week to say that a certain client of theirs enquired about the Cellini 40th anniversary 1815 Up/Down watch and guess what? They found two NOS pieces sitting in the vault at Glashütte. I enquired as to ho...
I love an interesting story, hence couldn’t resist when this was offered to me. It isn’t the most exquisite 4 hander watch, but the specifics of this little beauty makes it rather special to me. Best Gatsby
The watch looks great on your wrist. Sometimes I wonder how such allocations work... I came across a Datograph Lumen waiting to be picked up by a lucky/VIP client a couple of years ago at a boutique.
I got lucky once also. Not a watch but a NOS Patek dial from the 50's. Congratulations on such a marvelous piece! Is this a grand feu enamel dial? Something about the sheen in the pictures.
I believe the difference in that version is the dial finish (enamel?) and the red 40. Cute furry friend too. It’s cousin and other kitty say hi. As they say, “the cat is out of the bag!” 😂 ...
The red "40" is the only subtle tell that this celebrates anything. Cellini (the jeweler and former Lange AD) can't put "Cellini" on watches because Rolex has the "Cellini" trademark. I also really love when brands make limited editions without specifying...

My hunch is that 40 pieces of such a niche watch, from a single AD, would take years to sell. It doesn't surprise me that some remained after Lange pulled Cellini's AD status. I do wonder if Cellini can still sell these last remaining pieces even though t...

It’s a beauty. I bought mine from Cellini a few years ago and it’s my favorite piece. Wears so well, and the enamel dial is really special. Wear it in good health!
I really like my 1815 too. The red 40 wouldn't be reason enough for me to buy a second one, though. One of them would probably have to go. Greetings from the sister! ...
