Hope this is not off-topic...
I struggled with that very same question myself! I have immense respect for Lange and I think their production process has more "honesty" than other brands. Perhaps I'm being naive but it seems the way they do things, it's really hard to ramp up production numbers quickly. In any case, I feel I'm not ready to don something that formal, so I found a way to straddle sporty and formal - in the form of a DB27! It is equal parts both and superbly comfortable; I wear it daily and it just won't come off!!
Casual wear?
I am increasingly fascinated with this brand, but still trying to understand all aspects. The watches are gorgeous, but on a very sophisticated level, and far away from sporty... Without a Lange equivalent to say, an Aquanaut or Nautilus - do you find you...

Secretlife, not OT - as I guess you had similar concerns as me. I am quite sure I will end up with a Lange, though - but will take my time to find that perfect combination. The fun is in the hunt!

I think it is possible
depending on the color of the case. For me, almost all white metal watches can be worn quite casually. I often wear this one with jeans etc... Best regards, Dirk ...

Yes, the Dato, generation 1 - it really seems to be a center piece along with the Lange 1...can't wait to try those 2 on some day!

I like how you posed the question/scenario...
I hardly ever change watches during the day (e.g., at the end of day), and I never wear a suit or dress up. So, I basically always wear a Lange while dressed informally. You SHOULD NOT feel like you need to dress up to wear a Lange -- no worries whatsoeve...
