I think the complicated ones are thicker (not sure off the top of my head) but I did wear a regular time only Zeitwerk as a daily for about ~a year without any issues. The WG is definitely quite heavy, but you get used to it after a week or so and it is an easy-ish watch to dress down.
Ended up selling it because I'm partial to openworked pieces and Lange went back on a promise they had made when I bought it (precovid hype), but was an awesome/fun watch.
The service costs are kind of nuts though with Lange...I think it's $4000+ for the regular time only Zeitwerk.

You must have more muscles than me! For me, it was definitely a watch that I always knew was there. I had the white gold striking time version, I wore it for two hours in the house, and decided it wasn't for me.
