Terrific photos too - seeing them side-by-side makes me better appreciate the unique features of each. The engaging simplicity of the 1815. The strong structure of the Dato.
The occasional blue glow on your 1815 is the AR coating on the crystal - I’m no physicist but for some reason it shows out more often against a black dial.

Iconic pair of chronographs, and my personal preference is white metal as well. I've never been bothered by the heft of platinum, and in fact adore that feel!
