...which would open up a lot of dial space, and put the dates inside the subdial instead of a 24-hour indicator? I never understood the point of showing AM/PM on a watch that isn't a travel watch. Soooo much wrong with this dial, I can't even begin...

Going down a rabbit hole about the 4075BA, but can hardly find anything. Do you know if it was produced in other case metals? Very much ellipse styling, but I really like the subtle and octagonal shape. These are the designs that AP should go back through... 

all in yellow gold, and far from being as attractive as the black onyx dial example, imo. There's another reference (4206BA according to on single source) with a close but more angular design: cf. below. NB: in AP's language, "BA" is the code for "yellow ...  

I have to choose the CODE Tourbillon. So stunning visually, I cannot ignore it! The simplicity of the 4075 is certainly alluring.

And of course, I agree with you that this variant of the Code is really attractive (and I've always loved the case and crystal of the Code). Best, Emmanuel

Love those pics you posted. Any of them onyx? Or all lacquered? And here is one of mine to join the party … IMHO, the RO 15300 is one of the best royal oaks made. 39 mm with dials cut by Stern creations. Automatic with hacking seconds. It pretty much had ...  

As the title of the thread states, both are Onyx! ;-) Thanks for sharing your black dial 15300: it looks good! The only ROs I've tried on were 37mm and 34mm and 37 seemed to be the right size for me, but maybe 39mm would be better. Anyway, I'm happy with ...
