I wonder about the craftsmanship
From what I read on Hodinkee it seems to be a mostly industrial process. The figure is CNC machined and then laser etched. At that point it is finished and painted by hand, but I can't help but compare it to (admittedly plastic) miniature models and the detailed painting work that hobbyists apply to them. I am not convinced the work put into the figure matches my expectation for an AP tourbillon at that price. In my opinion, if it was hand-engraved it would be far more interesting even if it was accompanied with a higher price.
So not my thing...
I find AP a little irresponsible to make something like this. Then again, who knows... If people like it, then all the more power to them!

The Black Panther one was so successful, they're going to retry the formula until they see demand wane.
We live in a society today where money and tastes are not aligned.
Then again, someone may accuse me of having "stoic tastes." Perhaps they're not wrong, but I'd like to remind them I definitely go out of the box too.

Incredible craftsmanship again...and did you see the Dubai "unique piece" in WG? Insane... Anyway, prefer the split second but this one is truly special. Maybe next year they will make a Year of the Dragon version? Cheers Peter

Just like their Black Panther watch don't look at time when it's 12:00 and 6:30 and with this watch 8:45 as well. AP's body placement with these watches suck.

I take it your Revolution model is probably very seldomly worn. It's so well done too! I can't imagine what you have as your second one. You've probably mentioned before, but I probably just can't recall with certainty.

which I got this year. Frankly, I didn't wear either watch except for some photos for my blog..so whomever gets the Revolution would be getting a great deal !😄

Le Brassus recently. It’s a tribute to fine watchmaking and all of AP history. I cannot imagine seeing this watch displayed in that museum. It just doesn’t fit. To me it’s not their DNA, they are swimming outside their lane and it cheapens the brand. Just...
