If so, that means you aren't mobile enough where the automatic rotor can spin freely so it winds up the power reserve. And that there's nothing wrong with your AP.

It's a hand made mechanic device of considerable complexity. From time to time things go wrong and the manufacturer fixes them. If you don't like that then the best solution is a quartz watch where only the battery fails every so often.
