Daos started a terrific thread recently on "Dream AP's". Certainly lots of good models in there. It made me wonder, how did current AP fans officially enter into the brand, and for those who plan on their first AP, which one are you thinking of? Mine was ...

"Ding dong watch"

...was an 18K dress watch on a gator strap. Automatic caliber 2120. I believe at the time it was from what AP called its "Classic" line. I bought it in the late 1980s after selling a Patek and a couple Vacherons. Unfortunately, that watch is long gone, re... 

My first AP was the 15300 and it is still one of my favorite watches. I always look forward to strapping it on my wrist. All the best, J. ...

I think I searched for five years before I found and pulled the trigger to purchase my first AP in 1997. Some things are worth waiting for and wearing a AP is one of those things. RG NICK FALDO RO A few years later my obsession with AP led me to a website...  

My first AP was a ROO rubberclad just like yours Michael, with a silver/white dial. I LOVED IT! That watch had no peers in its heyday. Sold that when I got a Barrichello Ti - and I have never found another AP that costs less than a ferrari that I liked as... 

Just thought I would show this picture of my brother-in-law's new 44mm ROO... I love the new 44's, but buyer beware that they fit more like a 46-47mm Panerai. Likewise, the new 41mm RO's feel more like a 42-43mm watch. ...  

Don't own an AP yet. Been lusting after one for a while now. Still just don't know how the watch fits on my small wrist, but always loved the Royal Oak Jumbo, the Grand Sonnerie Dynamograph, perhaps a minute repeater, and I only like the Millenary in the ... 

...and I think you can't go wrong with a Royal Oak. For good, or ill (depending upon your perspective), the Royal Oak (and ROO) has become the signature collection from Audemars Piguet. Cheers, Daos
