would argue that living the luxury life is gaining possession of the luxury item rather than the process in obtaining it. We visited Hermes in Paris three weeks ago and were told that one had to register one's name for a lottery if one wanted to have an appointment to view handbags. We were on our honeymoon and duly registered my wife's name. Between 8 and 8.30pm that night, a lottery was held where the lucky few were then selected to attend appointments 48 hours later to view the handbags. We were not one of the lucky few and hence there went our chance to even view the handbags let alone purchase one much to my wife's disappointment! I would have personally blacklisted Hermes for such antics as we are unlikely to be in Paris again but my wife still hopes to get a Kelly one day. Two people, same treatment, different result!
