The refurbishment took 18 months and a $120k to sort this car out. So a word of caution for those that want an old air cooled these cars suck up a lot of time and a lot of money. So purchase with caution. As some of you guys may remember I bought this car...
Have to find a guy to work on them Then get it to him Then get it back Then it breaks again etc My dad was a car guy growing up, and I got to witness it first hand haha
I remember we would find an empty straight away and he would look at me and say, are you ready? Right before he would punch it and I would be looking at nothing but blue sky as the front end would lift off the ground. Man those memories are the best.
Thereβs something really special about seeing a car with that kind of history still being cared for and enjoyed todayβespecially when it has the added meaning of being your fatherβs. The fact that it just came back from service and is back on the road mak...
yes the exterior paint is amethyst with a magenta interior and the painted speedlines were added. So it's literally purple on purple on purple. MY brother said looking at dad you can just see a warm smile come across his face when they handed him the keys...
Even better in person. The 30 years jubilee 911 was in that colour and I once saw one on the Autobahn. It took some effort not to get out of my lane while staring at it
Iβve been toying with the idea of diving into the vintage Porsche world, though I havenβt quite pulled the trigger yet. The 964 and 993 are the two models Iβd seriously consider, but having grown so accustomed to my 991 and 992, Iβm not sure Iβm fully rea...

Never the easiest choice and the low points of ownership make you question your own sanity, however the highs are next level and create memories for life . Your Porsche looks fabulous !
And there have been many of discussion on why do I do this to myself and I should just sell the damn thing. But I know when it's done you won't be able to pry the keys out of my hand. Love/hate relationship with these vintage.
. . . of the year." π Thinking of Dad at this very moment; I gave him a special gift once, but months later he insisted on returning it, claiming it was too good for him. How I wish he'd kept it. I hope your Dad drives his Porsche every day. Wistfully, Ar...
I think there will be plenty of date nights in that car with my parents. And in the winter I can just see him polishing it every week to keep it shiny.
... 911. Burgundy Red - a color Porsche no longer offers. And while just an opinion - please hear me out - maybe, just maybe, it's time to get rid of that "whale tail"? Afterall, It's not a turbo or a GT. Plus, it kills the lines. My 911 - Currently parke...
