For me personally, I don't think I can squeeze the potential of the cars I do have.
Unless I'm on the track going full throttle which I am not. I enjoy my mountain roads, the wind in my hair and the sound of the flat 6 behind my ears. Driving has become much more spiritual for me, a place I can escape and center myself. Doing the fastest lap time or straight away no longer concerns me and thus I can safely say I desire nothing new as the cars have lost a bit of soul to them.

It sounds absurd until you take one for a drive... no one can really explain it, it just needs to be experienced. I don't have the full upgrade, just a mild stroke to 4L, but I've driven all the development cars from 4.25l to 4.5l and it's tempting.
