Here's my 325i
I bought it new in 2001 and still drive it frequently. Other than basic wear and tear, it has not had a single mechanical problem in 24 years. In 2001, I was torn between the 325i and 330i, and drove both. The 330i was more powerful, of course. But I went with the 325i because it seemed perfectly integrated, balanced, and less front heavy. Was also considering dark blue at the time. But went with red, with no regrets -- I can find it easily in a parking lot filled with neutral colored cars.
2002 BMW E46 M3 Coupe.

This brand hit their pinnacle many years ago, at least for drivers who crave character and emotional machines. Sadly, they don't make new cars with such attributes. I guess the same can be said for many other brands too.
I stopped looking at BMW when they moved from the E chassis.

I'm not surprised by the price of the low miles car on BaT. They just do not make cars like this anymore. I do have bias towards my Blackwing being the closest thing available, but surely in a much heavier, brutish package.
Yep - sadly, BMW will likely not make anything like it again.
Hard not to like the Blackwing with a killer engine and even a manual transmission available.
