I've tried many products

very expensive and pedestrian.

To my eyes, the 'cheap' stuff like Meguiars works as well as anything else. It's all about you washing the car meticulously and waxing regularly and with attention to detail. If you do this, your garden variety wax products seem to do a brilliant job. The task is to keep the car very clean and wax almost constantly. I did this with cars in the past and really enjoyed the outcome. BUT I am a dad now... world of difference in terms of free time to wax a car--or to care enough anymore. But I washed my 911 by hand as usual this week and I am looking forward to waxing it for the first time in months... It's all about free time, mental and physical free time. Cars are a great escape! Clean and shiny cars even more so.
