Are there any special dispensations (or penalties, for that matter) for old cars in France? Here in Victoria, if you are a member of a registered car club and your car is 25 years old, a permit is available for up to 90 days usage for one-fifth of normal ... 

You can register it as a Collector car, with no restrictions, and one good advantage: The MOT is each 5 years, not each two years, as for any other car. Best, Ben. Nicolas

No MOT on ours once it has been vouched for via a club :-) (In Victoria, we only do MOT (roadworthy cerificate) when a car changes hands.)

I didn't know these rules only that a car 25 year old or more is considered a Vintage. So a VN Commodore is considered a Vintage! Wow... We have different styling standard in OZ for sure:):) Cheers Francois from Perth Down Under

There are classifications for the years.. :-) a VN, vintage? never. A 1961 Alfa is under Classic. A Volvo Vintage? Never. Classic, yes. Vintage...needs to be pre-1931.

at the same time kind of aggressive with its from "shark" grill. This is a master piece of elegance from Frua . As you know my father had one, I think it was the 65 model in grey with red interior and it really had a big impact on me, that was The Best, M... 

I hesitated a lot with a few Vintage cars: Alfa Montréal or 2000 GT, Fiat Dino, Fiat Coupé 850, Peugeot 504 Coupé V 6... And this P 1800. I don't regret my choice. I still have to do some work on it, but I think that if all goes well, the car will be read... 

but my preference is by far the Dino 246 Spider, my head says that it is a "Real Piece of Art", "Architecture", "Sculpture". My heart has fallen in love with her many, many moons ago and still is. The problem is the bloody wallet :) My opinion on the othe...

Beautiful car Nico. In my opinion, the P1800 is the most beautiful of the cars Volvo has ever produced. I personally like some of the earlier designs with the chrome grill, but the modernity of the drive of the later ones would definitely be the best choi... 

But driving an E is better. you have more power than a Jensen which only had 90 HP. The car of your childhood? what can it be? From you era, or before? Best, my friend. Nicolas

I was six years old. One of my teachers gave me a Porsche 911 brochure. It was one of my most treasured possessions. A Porsche 911 from that era would be the classic car from my childhood.

But actually it was the 993 911. That's what it was when I was six. I didn't even know how to drive yet, I just simply looked at it as a beautiful work of art. And I knew I liked fast cars and g-forces. And back then, I was so young, but I just fell in lo...
