Nice outing Michael....

Cool post .There is something special and magical about the bush. We used to have a Subaru Forrester GT ( detuned WRX boxer 4 turbo engine for max. torque in lower rev.range ) and a Subaru Outback ( boxer 6 normally aspirated ) for our family outings including the dog to the bush for camping , yabbying and fly fishing. These vehicles cannot cope with the terrain that you have shown, but adequate in accessing the areas we go to. I have only one puncture due to a sharp rock edge piercing the sidewall. Alas, we do not do this anymore.Children grown up and they have their own schedules. Sigh , lament. If I can find some photos, I will post them. Oh, we normally face black berry bushes but my son gets out to cut off the overhanging thorny branches .

Are you planning any more trips before winter ? Are there any dangers from wild animals like bears and you need to carry firearms ?
