Subarus are great for mild trails.

My first car was an 84 GL, and while it saw little dirt, that front wheel drive was awesome in the snow.  Only the low clearance slowed it down.  Outbacks are very popular in Colorado.

I do plan on getting out more.  It is cooler and raining heavy today, and they forecast snow above 10,000'.  The white stuff will be coming soon and closing many trails.

I absolutely travel prepared in terms of what I bring when heading out.  I always have to assume a breakdown in the middle of nowhere, and having to walk out alone or with my family.  That of course means covering security measures.
