Yesterday night I finally obtained footage of the local police department response to the motorcycle theft that happened to me over five months ago. I have yet to receive any update from the department on the outcome of their investigation.... 🙃 ...  

In what is more than likely a stolen Ford Bronco SUV....

. . . but then, this happened in the People's Republic of Santa Monica. 🫤

You can easily see how he was gauging what to do, even 'flirting' with gunning for it around 22 seconds in.... Ultimately, it was called in as a burglary in progress, so I'm frankly at a loss as to what they were expecting and/or anticipating from these c... 

Looked like a bunch of tourists - anyway, glad nobody got hurt.

Or lack thereof, in this case. Lucky the one guy was not run over.

He's fortunate that he had plenty of space in the carport across from mine....

These guys are part of an organized crime ring and have stolen dozens if not hundreds of vehicles, particularly expensive SUVs.... Thank you my friend, cheers, Filip

I was hoping the police department would come up with some answers, but in almost half a year, they don't have anything tangible at all.... The silver lining is that my insurance (Progressive) paid out the loss fairly, and I have the exact same model paid...

A friend had his car parked along the road. It was about 1+ am when I saw 4 guys trying to remove the glass top. They bailed when I yelled at them, police came, looked at us, shrugged and said they would update😂. Of course they didn’t. One of the AHs defi... 

...and some dude came STORMING across the street and started into the Parking Lady for writing him a parking ticket. He was screaming, totally up in her face. She calmly got on her radio and I kid you not there were THREE cruisers there in less than 30 se... 

I've had those situations before myself.... Mental health in the general population here is declining by the day.... Just yesterday I had to brandish my firearm because an irate customer got into it with not one, but two retail managers on duty, and decid...

I didn’t see any effort by the police after the car took off…they eventually got in the cruiser and drove away?? I thought they were going to turn around and give a [belated] chase, but the video ended🤔.

The man who stole the motorcycle came out of the SUV in my carport area and took around 9 minutes to break into and start the motorcycle. The PD showed up a couple of minutes after the bike was turned on, and that's when you see the Bronco pull out of the...

I didn’t think motorcycles are targeted because there’s so many I see parked in open, which must be the usual. I guess thieves won’t chance tampering out in an open parking lot versus a closed area.🤔 Nothing is sacred.😔

I saw a subsequent article in the local newspaper how an organized crime gang stole a number of expensive SUVs in that same stretch of time - early October 2025. I am obviously certain those were the same people, they were just running around the neighbor...

I’ve resorted to putting Apple AirTags in all my vehicles. Someone needs to develop a remote kill switch. That would be fun. Speeding away and suddenly you’re not…. Ooops

Most of these bikes and cars seem to end up in shipping containers and then in far away places, although I would have thought with the limited numbers of MV bikes produced this may of been harder to sell on and service later. Marc

even for perfectly legitimate owners in major marketplaces like California. Just like you pointed out, it has ended up who-knows-where, likely with no licensed mechanics who specialize in handling them, so they'll just ride it 'till the wheels fall off ' ... 

It’s a bit of a consolation that you got to get the same motorcycle thanks to the insurance but I must say the cops behavior is quite disappointing.

So sorry again for the loss of that MV :-(. Two weeks ago we had our third burglary(attempt) in the house, the whole of the EU is becoming a sh**thole if you ask me. I live 30 km from Brussels .. ever been there ? It's becoming a joke lately to be honest,...  

But I totally know and empathize with the massive safety and security issues EU has faced in the last decade or so, primarily as a result of mass illegal immigration. From your story, it appears they weren't able to get in and get away with any of your be... 

Response time was a joke to say the least, if something serious happens here we are screwed. It took at least 20 minutes, could have been 30 .... . Europe is totally not prepared for anything serious, I hope things will change for the better.

LAPD response times are the same.... Only particularly wealthy enclaves like Beverly Hills etc. can manage much better response times and therefore outcomes.... 🙃
