Some similarities exist but in the late 60s I had a 64 Beetle and my friend had a 62 356. If he took a corner beyond the limits of traction the rear end let go immediately-you counter

 

steered and went around the corner (usually laughing). If I tried to exceed traction limits in my Beetle I would end up on two wheels, I counter steered immediately in the hopes of
getting all four back on the ground to avoid rolling the car. I might have chuckled a bit but only because I survived my foolish indiscretion.
