Still one of the more underrated two seaters out there.
It was parked for maybe 20 minutes, coffee stop, in a relatively low traffic spot. Yet, I saw two people take a picture and another exclaim “do you know what this is guys, this is the car I really want to drive” and made some other comment about his Miata which I didn’t catch.
This is not an important factor, but it evidences how enduring this old design is, how few of them one sees on the road and how approachable the car is.

I miss my BMWs. They were a great balance of fun to drive, luxury, and comfort. I haven’t driven the new ones extensively though. Hope they’re still good! But this Z4 Coupe is the stuff dreams are made from.

They definitely are rare! I haven't seen one in years!
I see more Ferraris than I do a Z4 M Coupe!
Well, there were only 1800 sold in the US.
That was 2006-2008. Total production globally was about 4500 if I remember correctly.
That is indeed a rare bird!
Much rarer than a Ferrari 430! Ferrari sold much more than 2000 F430 units between 06 to 08!

Be a great pair to own; I had thought about it but the clownshoe has exploded in recent years and so not justifiable for a car that might be driven 1000 miles a year.
Although, one could easily argue the investment value.
Like watches, my eyes are first for the exterior. People still believe this is a modern or current model, that’s perhaps it’s biggest attraction.
