…talk watches with the crew at the dealer. I was amazed about the passion in that floor for Rolex. It was amazing. It all started with one of the guys noticing the Datejust two-tone my daughter was wearing. He then flashed his Batman. And my son-in-law followed with his steel bezel Daytona. And then another of the BMW guys approached to show his GMT with black and gray bezel on a Jubilee. I was also wearing a Batman. Then the general manager showed his green bezel Sub. And the whole conversation sounded like a medical conference because of the way they were calling the watches, and spouting reference numbers, years when the watches were produced, and all this arcane jargon that had me understanding nothing. The new car sitting there ready to be driven away was totally forgotten in the midst of Rolex madness. I must confess I felt in love with the gray and black bezel GMT on a Jubilee. I have a ceramic Pepsi on a Jubilee but I’m not crazy about it. It’s a bit showy and the red and blue have a rather dark hue that it’s not like the colors in the aluminum bezels which are more attractive. The grey and black is perfect in the Jubilee. I’m officially on the hunt for one. Anyhow, eventually my daughter drove off in her new car, not very interested in the encrypted Rolex conversation. In my case, I made a bunch of good friends of the secret handshake type at that BMW dealership.
