At Armin Strom I was most curious to see the new complete watches to go with the new 8 day caliber introduced in January 2010.
This caliber is unique in that the ratchet wheels are on the dial side giving a very special look to the caliber and interesting possibilities for an open dial. As can be seen this is a manuel wind double barrel movement which together with the slow beat rate of 18000A/h allows for the 8 day autonomy.
I was not disappointed and find these new models to very very attractive sporty watches.
The balance spring with Breguet end curve is free sprung, the balance is regulated with inertia screws.
The watch models using this new movement are, as the existing regulator models, namd after the ancient elements, Air, Earth, Fire and Water. This is the model Earth with a black PVD plated stainless steel case.
The model Fire is in 18k rose gold

The model Water has a polished stainless steel case.
The model Air has a titanium case
