The larger case size of 43.6 might throw some people off but the watch is well proportioned and wears comfortably on the wrist. The larger case size also allows for a larger dial which makes this watch highly legible in both bright and low light condition...  

I can tell you why everything you wrote 'does not matter' (and BTW I do not agree with what I am about to state...) ROLEX. That is all.

The Nato strap also looks good in my opinion -- all emphasis is now visually on the case of this great-looking BP! ;-) Thanks again for sharing, and enjoy both!

I would not change the Nato strap. The Sedna gold hardware makes it unique. I have thought of getting this watch and seeing it on your wrist makes me want it even more! For me, there is no comparison, that BP over the Rolex every day. 👍

The nato is indeed beautiful, thick and well thought of. It also down plays the watch and adds a fun vibe to it. Not to mention it’s wearability and resistance to scratches unlike the polished center links of the Submariner. The folding buckle can be an o...

When my brother saw the watch he didn’t notice there was a date window until he took a 2nd glance. I guess they did a good job with color matching the date disc with the dial.

Chose between the two. Regarding to my buying rules, Blancpain would be my choice. Rolex at the other hand, and the blue smurf is hard for me to skip, it is a submariner i like very. The same with the Hulk 116610LV, a Explorer 2 and Milgauss GV. A date ju... 

Funny you mentioned buying rules. I guess we all have our own to put reason into purchasing a new time piece or to otherwise turn down a deal. I try to collect watches in pairs like these 2 dive watches.

Great you quest it Greggy. Rules like i only collect Patek Philipe watches; I do only wear vintage chronographs. When i collect all submariners, i go for golden day dates. When i’ve got 10 independents, i want to have a special and rare hand wound A Lange... 

But even if the Rolex dial were black the Blancpain is (in gold) a more versatile out of the water watch and can be worn in more formal situations but still perform as a diver.

But I have the rubber backed fabric strap and really enjoy it. It would be a tough call against the yg blue dial submariner though
