L'Evolution.....
I had a chance to see up close the new L-Evolution, 8 jours.....
although I did have some doubts when it was introduced...
when I saw it in metal i have to admit that it is quite impressive.....
it is extremely well made.... the finishing is excellent.....
the buckle is also of high quality and the strap is not only well made but very comfortable.....
the new calibre, 13R5, is impressive....
8 days power reserve, three barrels and titanium sprung balance....
an owner told me that this makes the calibre more durable and it even permits you to play golf with it.....
(I will ask Blancpain on this though.. if someone can confirm, I would appreciate it)...
The design is quite modern.... ?????....
so... what do you think about it?

I feel the L-Evolution dial design may be too bold
It was a total shocker for me when I saw the first pictures from last year's Basel show, and it still is a shocker for me today after an entire year. I'm not a fan of the L-Evolution design and feel Blancpain tried too hard to create a young, sporty look....
When I first....
saw it photos I also did not like it..... but in metal...... I still have some reservations..... but the quality of the dial and the calibre are certainly winners..... cheers
Having seen it in person...
I have had the pleasure of seeing the new Blancpain watches in person and I personally find the dials to be much too avantegarde for my tastes. The Aqualung was a nice blend of classic Blancpain watch with a modern twist. And I would wear an Aqualung. How...
