Last February, in Geneva, I tried on this Breguet Classique ref. 5157BR/11/9V6 . I would prefer the lugs to be a little less straight and the movement to be hand-wound . But apart from that, I find this watch really appealing . The rose gold case is 38 x ...
I think I like every Breguet except the Marine
They had good looking Marine in the past but today's model is not my taste
All we need.
The only "problem" is the lack of a barrel housing for the mainspring, that can release "grit" to the movement.
The front fits the "less is more" aesthetic that I'm typically drawn too.
On the backside, however, the unbalanced look of the offset rotor isn't to my liking. You are quite right that a manual winding movement would be better. Thanks, M4
It's a real pity that they put so much refinement in the dial and case,
and feature a much less appealing movement. The guillochage on the rotor is quite nice, but I don't like the way it is cut so straight with no anglage at all. Best, Emmanuel
I liked the look of the 5157 a lot
But the lugs were a bit too long for my wrist so I let it go Occasionally I miss its simple beauty
The lugs are exactly what bother me too.
I'm also not very fond of the movement. But the dial and the case are wonderful. Best, Emmanuel
Love the thinness…
The dial, hands, movement. And agree that with slightly different lugs it might be more wearable for a wider variety of wrist shapes and sizes. But very much a fan overall 😊👍🏻👌🏻

Seems like the Breguet 5907 would be to your liking…
35mm case shortens the lug to lug, hand wound dual barrel movement with power reserve indicator visible on movement side. It does have a seconds subdial, however. Pics from web: ...

I do indeed like the 5157, but I went for the 5967 Art Deco Damier instead.
