I do believe I know the underlying history to all the major references. The film pays homage to: Panther starts off within the Opera house, presumably. Cartier's history in Russia. Cartier's history in India. Cartier's historical creations of a jeweled me... 

You got most of it. But I'm not telling otherwise it takes the fun out of watching the clip. The Hope Diamond is more closely associated with Harry Winston, he famously mailed it via USPS, so probably Cartier left it out for that reason. - SJX

But I found the editing a bit jarring with the numerous scene jumps. That diminished my enjoyment of a good story

I think the white gold, yellow gold and pink gold rings in the earlier part of the movie are a reference to their Trinity line of jewellery. And the plane is a reference to Cartier's "association" with aviator Santos-Dumont. Very well done. Regards, Richa...
