I was comparing the different movements vs. price difference
The gold L.U.C 1860 XPS has the higher specification/price movement (formerly known as cal. L.U. C 1.96) whereas the steel L.U.C has the equivalent to the cal. L.U.C 3.96.
The big difference in price is not reflected in an equally big difference in the quality of the dial and movement.
That was my rationale to choose the steel L.U.C 1860 XPS instead of the gold version.
I agree that there are differences in movements eg. rotor material, Swan neck, and hidden locations. But again, the big price difference outweighs them.
