Chopard

L.U.C 1860 – A Refined Classic Revisited IMHO, Chopard has been knocking it out of the park for the last few years. The L.U.C 1860 was unveiled during Watches & Wonders 2023—a re-introduction that draws inspiration from the original iconic 1860 model....  

My choice would be "poetic expression" (very well said). Moderate size and Metalem guilloché dial are winners for me. But both are steel and I don't warm up as much to white metals as to colored ones. So I'm hoping they'll do a yellow or pink gold 1860 so... 

Rumor mill is hinting that this 1860 may be discontinued by the end of the year. Perhaps, a successor may address your wish.🤷

I have this Qualite Fleurier and actually find the relative monochromatic aesthetic very compelling. Of course there are multiple finishes to enjoy on the dial (see below). I also love the slim case design. It is one of my favorite and most versatile watc...

If your heart is going one way or the other, my advice is to follow that! It wants what it wants, as they say!

Of the two I much prefer the L.U.C. 1860 as the dial and overall look is more to my taste and I find the dial of the L.U.C. Qualite Fleurier is too stark but both are really great watches. I am a big fan of maison de Chopard and I like most of what they p...

But I must agree with your observation about the space below the subdial. A half marker or something would make it much better, IMO

This was my vote: The Qualité Fleurier never quite did it for me. Not a big fan of the syringe hands and the numbered chapter ring on this particular piece. But the main thing is the pie pan dial. I like pie pan dials, but on vintage pieces: ...
