Or at least my feelings about the watch are such π
I like the breath of fresh air certainly - I think the last thing of similar perceived novelty Chopard did was the 8Hz movement more than a decade ago.
The lightness - far from record breaking - and the overall design are certainly pluses.
I could do without the tourbillon (frankly an openly visible 8Hz movement would be a lot more fitting IMHO) and the Zagato connection somehow doesnβt fully become apparent (i.e. beyond the Zs on the dial).
Hopefully itβs the harbinger of things to come, though. The motorsport derived lines at Chopard I found a tad stale for many years and something with this type of thinking and design language could bring the breath of fresh air needed to return Chopard to the stage in this area π€π»
Especially if they manage a couple of pieces with possibly less complicated movements at slightly more earthbound price points as well π
